June 2017 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor and Church,

Thank you for your faithfulness! As we approach Papua New Guinea’s National Elections in July, we appreciate your prayers. It’s great to depend on the power of God. Isaiah 40:17 says “All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.” God is in control, and we are called to pray.

A highlight of June has been a visit from our daughter Amanda, and her friends Areana and Camila from Heartland Baptist Bible College. They were with a large group for a mission’s trip in the Philippines and the 3 of them were able to come to Papua New Guinea also. They have been able to see different schools, churches and give their testimonies and sing. We went for an outreach time and I preached at the Wau outdoor market with real freedom. One man talked with the pastor about salvation afterwards. Pray for these Bible College students as they finish school and seek God’s will in life.

Wau Baptist Church is doing well. Please continue to pray for Pastor Alphonse Timb and his family. They are just finishing a Revival and looking forward to hosting a Ladies meeting of 400+ ladies for 3 days here at the Bible School.

Pray for us as we watch over a new work at a place called Kaisenik. There have been a few Christians in that area for many years, and now God seems to be starting a church there. Please pray for the new Christians, baptisms, and growth.

In Him,
Stan Rowe & Family
