Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support again this month. Hebrews 6:10 says, “God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love”. Your faithfulness has been a blessing and an encouragement.
Praise God for the work He allowed to be done this last month. The OT Survey class continues here at the Bible school and the extra preaching opportunities at churches has been encouraging. Norm and Aaron were able to go out with the youth for some outreach at 3 local markets. The “back-door bandage ministry” has been like a small clinic of steady customers. Tresa has been able to minister to many kids and adults. As I witnessed bandages & peroxide, soap & prayer, I was blessed by one young man who has visited church 2 Sundays so far. Pray for his spiritual need of healing too.
Sometimes people are curious about COVID happening here in PNG, but without local testing there is no way to know for sure. Many people have the same symptoms of severe coughing for about a week to 10 days, with runny eyes and nose etc. so it’s probably something similar going around this last month. There is not really much medical information available, and the local hospital has been closed this last year awaiting repairs.
In family news, Norm has finished Grade 12 with Abeka courses and we plan to be bringing him home in November to get settled in the States. We appreciate your prayers for wisdom as we shop for tickets and prepare to go. More about our return in the next letter.
