Dear Pastor & Church,
Trip to the Highlands
Travel to the middle of the country’s area called the Highlands went well. In fact, we have traveled quite a bit since we last wrote. The week before we went back up to where we used to live, a young mother was saved at the church there in Birip. Her husband Jackie used to translate for me into the local language there. It was a blessing to see everyone and be able to encourage them through preaching. Over those couple of weeks we were able to visit and preach in Hagen, Birip, Tsak valley, and Kompiam. The spiritual highlight was the life rededication of a preacher. He has now been back in church with his family. Thank you for making it possible to encourage those works. We helped them also with Bibles, songbooks, tracts, and literacy materials.
Tresa has had some health issues ever since she had some pneumonia in December. After some trips down to Lae on the coast, and upon the Dr’s recommendation for a CT scan of her lungs, we went to Cairns, Australia for a full medical checkup. Everything came out good and it looks like she needs to take it a little bit easier as she recovers still. A few days rest there helped her some as well. Gary & Verda Keck were a huge blessing watching the children and it’s good to get back home to the kids again. Thank you for praying and keep Tresa in prayer for continued recovery to full strength.
A Short Furlough
Naomi will be graduating High School this year and we have been praying for direction. We have purchased tickets for arriving back in the States in July. The tickets are paid off, thank you for making that possible! Our plan is to do a short furlough through to the end of this year. This will give us time to get Naomi settled in somewhere as she leaves home. We appreciate you continuing to pray for Amanda and Christopher as they find their way in God’s will there in the States as well.
