On the Road
Thank you once again for your prayers and support! This last month we traveled out to report to some churches in between other travels and projects. We were at Choctaw Baptist Church in Idabel, Oklahoma, then a Missions Conference at Poteau Valley Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma and also Lighthouse Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
In the Books & In the Air
Flight Training is ongoing and the next big step was the Written Examination. I bought some video classes and hit the books again for 4-5 weeks to prepare. And, I went over the 719 questions that came with the course. I passed the first time and in less than the 2 ½ hours time limit. That’s a blessing. Now to prepare for the Flight Test and Oral Exam still to take. I appreciate your prayers in this!
Tent Project Update
We are getting a new, heavy duty tent to take back for special meetings. Here’s the price for the 40’ X 80’ tent made of 18 oz. vinyl; it is $9,335, plus crating and shipping of $1,850, for a total of $11,185. (That is about 78 days shipping from Oklahoma to Lae, Papua New Guinea.) Of this amount, $7,400 is on hand, with $2,000 promised, leaving $1,785 at this time. Another missionary has promised to help cover the customs, duty tax and trucking once it arrives over there.
Tickets to Go
We plan to return to PNG before the end of March and so have begun checking ticket prices. The best one-way tickets so far are $1,237 each, Tulsa to Lae, PNG. Thank you for praying for these projects and we’ll do our best to keep you updated.
