How is your New Year? We trust God has been with you each step of the way. He sure has been good. This is a great year to love God better, love His Word more, and look forward to the possibilities of 2015. Psalm 119:165 says, “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Each year will have its challenges and this one has already had some. I am thankful for His reassurances that He is good and He is God.
Thank you for sending us and sustaining us for the preaching and teaching opportunities here. In addition to doing some of the preaching at Wau Baptist I was able to go out Sunday mornings to Bulolo and Biawin. We had a good time sounding out the gospel at Biawin Baptist Church with a Sunday AM service that was combined with a funeral service. That was the first time I’ve driven through a creek with the water up to the headlights and splashing over the hood occasionally. I’ll walk next time if it is still the rainy season and they haven’t fixed that bridge!
A man named Michael raised his hand for salvation at Bulolo Baptist and it was a blessing to take a worker back to pray with him. He used to be one of the area council leaders and the church had been praying for him. Amen! Isn’t it great that God would use us? Pray for Bulolo Baptist in their new building program this year.
Thank you for praying last time for the Bible School graduation. The four students and their families have all gone back to their remote home areas to work in churches. Christopher and Naomi came back from their trip with the Youth class to Buansin. Bro. Luther Smith was one of the main guest speakers, there were 8 saved and 2 of those were from here at Wau Baptist.
(1) Pray for Wau Baptist Church and their need for a pastor. Pray for Bro Jim Blume and others, as we lead, that God’s Will would be revealed as we serve the church and the Lord of it.
(2) Pray for the next group of Bible school students as they begin school the first of February.
