Dear Prayer Partners,
As we had hoped in our letter last month, we were able to successfully complete the 2 weeks of quarantine time in the capital of Port Moresby. Next, we applied for and received our official Department of Health Quarantine Clearance Certificate. With this, we were finally able to leave the quarantine hotel. We were able to take care of some Visa paperwork there, got our phones set up, then boarded an airplane for onwards travel within country.
Our flight arrived safely in Lae and after a final temperature check, we were free to meet our fellow missionaries and get ready for the last leg of travel. A few days later we drove back south to Wau, and arrived at the Bible school. Praise God for the safety in all the travels! We then began unpacking, and I began teaching 4 mornings a week. There are only 2 students with the present circumstances so pray for things to return to normal soon.
Please pray for Bro. Tupit, his wife Priscilla and 3 children as they are here at the Bible school. They come from a remote area near Garaina valley in our province. The gospel message has struggled in that area for some time, and they seem to lack strong healthy churches and faithful preachers. Pray we may help them grow, be more grounded in Christ Jesus . . . and return to their people to minister in their language group.
I have had some invites to preach out in the area for church services and house visitations with neighbors. It has been enjoyable to be back to preaching. The biggest blessing was a young man who came forward for salvation one Sunday morning at Kilolo Baptist. Pray for Peter & his decision to follow Jesus, as well as the preacher, Bro Napi, and the work there.
