Dear Pastor & Church,
How is the fall season going where you are? Here are a few highlights since we last wrote.
The annual revival went well at Wau Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Fair. 1 boy was saved and it was an encouraging time at the church and the local market outreach. During the revival, Karen Marvin’s parents also came from the states for a visit from Delaware. They were able to see her work with the school, church, and we enjoyed meeting them.
Next in July, Tresa was able to go with the women to a ladies’ meeting at Victory Baptist Church down in Lae. Mrs. Julie Crowe, missionary from Australia, spoke. Pray for that church’s need for a pastor. Another nearby meeting we took people to was at Bible Baptist Church at Wandumi with Bro Gary Keck. Bro Bob Reno from Puyallup, WA was the guest speaker, and I preached one of the morning classes. There were a couple people saved at that meeting also.
Then, Tresa and I took a trip to Cairns, QLD, Australia, just 730 miles straight south. The trip had 2 purposes. One was a couple days get away for our anniversary. Tresa has had a full load with tasks from church, home school, Bible school, helping care for her mom and dad, etc. It was a good break. Driving on nice roads was enjoyable! I preached a couple times at Coastline Baptist Church with Bro. James Herringson in Cairns and also visited Grace Baptist Church in Malanda, QLD with Bro. Buddy Smith. Second, we also had a short visit with Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF) at Mareeba to ask about flight training. They were able to give a rough estimate of time, cost and available options. We will update more about that later.
